Dance WV Fall Festival Recap
What an unforgettable weekend of inspiration, hard work, and pure dance magic at the Dance WV Fall Festival! Our Rhythm n’ Motion dancers spent three incredible days at Cedar Lakes training with guest artists, taking classes in multiple styles, performing, connecting with dancers from across the state, and pushing their artistry to new levels. We are so proud of the passion, discipline, and heart they brought to every class.
Throughout the weekend, students rotated through a variety of classes including ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, and dance making — with some groups even performing their choreography outdoors. The fall weather was beautiful, the energy was high, and our dancers loved soaking up every moment. Many even said they couldn’t pick a favorite class because the whole weekend was that good.
And to top off the festival, several of our dancers were recognized with prestigious summer study and college scholarship awards. Please join us in celebrating their outstanding achievements:
- Carter “Nugget” – Awarded full tuition to both the Louisville Ballet and The Rock School summer programs
- Ella – Accepted to the Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive
- Ariana – Awarded an alternate spot to Attack Dance Theatre’s summer program
- Dom – Awarded full tuition to Ohio University’s summer program and an alternate spot to WVU’s Summer Dance Academy
- Kaylee – Awarded a Return to Fall Festival Scholarship
- Senior Alyssia – Awarded a partial scholarship to Brenau University’s Summer Dance Intensive, plus conditional acceptance and scholarships to programs at Brenau University, University of Kentucky, and University of Georgia
- Senior Whitney – Awarded full tuition to the University of Kentucky’s summer dance program and an alternate spot for WVU’s Summer Dance Academy; also received conditional acceptance and scholarships to WVU, Brenau University, University of Kentucky, and University of Georgia, and was named alternate for the DWV College Cash Scholarship
- Senior Alexa – Awarded an alternate spot for the University of Kentucky’s summer dance program and the Summer Cash Scholarship; received conditional acceptance and scholarships to WVU, Ohio University, Brenau University, University of Kentucky, and University of Georgia; and was named the recipient of the DWV College Cash Scholarship of $1,000, renewable for four years

These awards represent incredible opportunities for advanced training, college pathways, and continued artistic growth — and we couldn’t be prouder of each dancer who stepped out of their comfort zone and gave their all this weekend.
✨ Congratulations on a fantastic Fall Dance Festival!
